A Legacy Rooted in History

Bellamount Restaurant and Bar, nestled in the scenic town of Mussoorie, boasts a rich legacy that dates back to the British era. Originally functioning as a hotel, it has been serving as a restaurant since the time the British owned it. During their tenure, the British also established a grand wooden skating rink on the premises, which unfortunately caught fire and was destroyed.

Revival Through Heritage and Partnership

Recognizing the historical and touristic value of the location, the Tourism Department of Uttar Pradesh took the initiative to reconstruct the hotel. Today, Bellamount operates under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model in collaboration with GMVN (Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam). The establishment is also a proud family-run business that has been thriving for over 65 years, continuing to offer a warm and welcoming experience to its visitors.

Bellamount Restaurant & Bar offers a warm and inviting atmosphere perfect for fine dine and evening relaxation. Located in the foothills of the Garhwal Himalaya range, it features a contemporary design with rustic wooden accents and warm ambient lighting, creating a cozy yet modern vibe. The spacious dining area offers both booth and table seating options, while the bar showcases a wide selection of lager beers, signature cocktails, and fine wines.

A Culinary & Social Experience

The menu focuses on multi-cuisine food—Indian, Continental, Chinese, and Garhwali—offering a blend of locally inspired comfort foods, including both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, as well as authentic Garhwali dishes. The bar is stocked with top-shelf liquors, and live music plays on weekends, adding to the vibrant, relaxed ambiance. The venue also includes a private event space for candlelight dinners, anniversary events, and other special gatherings, offering a balanced mix of modern sophistication and a laid-back environment.
